Every single human being gets similar physical and psychological starting points.
As a result, whether one manages to achieve what one wants to achieve depends upon one’s ability to learn.
In this post, I am going to outline three steps for learning anything.
1. Choose the Fields of Study that You Want to Focus On
Before learning anything, you should be clear about what you are going to learn about. While you may choose as many fields of study as your capabilities permit, it would be ideal to ensure that the number of fields of study that you focus on in a day does not exceed three because human cognitive abilities are limited by the laws of nature.
2. Make Sure You Know Fundamentals of Your Field of Study by Heart
In order to learn to speak English, you must first have perfect memory of alphabets. In order to learn to compose music, you must first have perfect knowledge of basic music theory such as scales, intervals, chords et cetera. If you want to excel at the field of study that you have selected, you must know the fundamentals of the subject by heart. Be aware of the fact that perfection is the only option regarding the process of studying fundamentals!
3. Focus on Studying Things that You Find Hard
It can be a waste of time to repeatedly practice skills that you are already good at. In order to be better at virtually any field of study, you should spend more time on materials that you find challenging. It is impossible to learn something new without meeting any challenges anyways, so why procrastinate? Rush to the most challenging part first so that you don’t have to suffer later.
