Our species, named humans, has at least 4,000,000 years of history.
Assuming that humans give birth to their children at around the age of 20, 4,000,000 years are 200,000 generations. That’s a lot of generations.
With so many generations, it is possible to label one generation as strong, another as weak et cetera.
However, what does it mean to be a weak generation?
If you are thinking about physical weakness, you’re probably in the wrong territory.
We can’t compare two same things. In order to compare one thing with another, there must be at least one difference between the two things.
It doesn’t make any sense to compare the degree of physical strength across generations because every single human being that has existed on the Earth was or is weak in terms of physical endurance. We don’t have to look far to know that we are weak. We already know that we are physically weaker than bears, tigers et cetera.
Since every single human being is physically weak, the definition of a weak generation cannot be based on this trait.
In order to find an answer, we must find out what made our species the strongest species on the Earth in the first place. In my personal opinion, that is collaboration.
A strong generation manages to collaborate. Collaboration is based upon effective communication. Effective communication does not only mean being kind, cordial and cooperative to other people. Indeed, good criticisms are essential parts of effective communication.
A weak generation does the opposite. A weak generation does not collaborate. It may be because of some narcissists or sociopaths making some irrational criticisms that hinder effective communication. There may be other reasons.
This is just my theory, so it may be wrong. I just hoped that by reading this post, people may get better understanding of what weakness really means.
Thank you for reading this post and see you later!
