What Is Life?

The question, “What is life” seems like a difficult question. It wouldn’t be unusual for one to speculate that the answer to this question must be very long and complicated.

However, I personally wouldn’t read a book that claims to answer this question thoroughly, because the best answer to this question is most likely concise.

Of course, some may attempt to collect billions of life stories and assemble them, but the result wouldn’t be a book. It would be too thick for anyone to hold.

My definition of life would be, life is a process of resolving a conflict between an individual’s endless desire for power and the paucity of actual power one possesses.

Does this sound familiar? This is very similar to the definition of economics. Economics is a field of study that strives to mediate the human beings’ endless greed and the scarcity of resources.

Even though life is simple, human beings are often too greedy to accept the fact that they are no more than a human being.

Good knowledge of one’s own power would be the only solution to this problem.
